Maxine – Based on a True Story of the Soham Murders
The Soham murders, which took place on 4 August 2002, remain one of the most tragic criminal cases in British history. The deaths of ten-year-old schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman shocked the nation and led to significant changes in child protection policies.
In the TV series, Maxine, based on the Soham murders, the investigation into school assistant Maxine Carr and her girlfriend Ian Huntley, who was imprisoned for the killings, is examined.
