EE BAFTA Film Awards 2024 Nominations Announced: A Celebration of Cinematic Excellence

The nominations for the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2024 have been announced, and it's a star-studded lineup! From Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer to Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things, this year's ceremony promises to be a night to remember.

Leading the pack with 13 nominations is Oppenheimer, Nolan's epic biopic of the "father of the atomic bomb." The film, which stars Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, is also up for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Hot on Oppenheimer's heels is Poor Things, with 11 nominations. The film, based on the novel of the same name by Alasdair Gray, is a dark comedy about a young woman who is brought back to life after being drowned. It's up for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Actress for Emma Stone.

Other notable nominees include All of Us Strangers, which is up for 8 awards, including Best Film and Outstanding British Film; Killers of the Flower Moon, which is up for 7 awards, including Best Film and Best Director for Martin Scorsese; and Barbie, which is surprisingly up for 5 awards, including Best Animated Film.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards 2024 airs on 19 February, Monday, 11:15AM (GMT+8) on ROCK Entertainment. Don't miss the encore telecast later that day at 6:45PM (GMT+8) for another chance to witness the awards unfold.
