Chosen

In the movie "Chosen" (2016), also known as "El elegido," the story follows Saul Kovacsz (Luke Mably), a young lawyer living in Debrecen, Hungary, during the tumultuous events of World War II.

Saul's life is shattered by tragedy when his beloved wife, Florence, succumbs to illness. Devastated and seeking solace, he joins the resistance movement, fueled by a desire to fight against the Nazi occupation and protect his remaining family.

His primary motivation becomes safeguarding his sister-in-law, Judith (Ana Ularu), who faces increasing danger due to her Jewish heritage. Saul's legal background proves surprisingly valuable in the resistance, as he utilises his skills and knowledge to navigate the perilous landscape of wartime Hungary.
