Eve's Bayou

Ten-year-old Eve Batiste (Jurnee Smollett) lives a privileged life in Eve's Bayou, named after her family's charismatic patriarch, Dr. Louis Batiste (Samuel L. Jackson). Her world shatters when she accidentally witnesses her father's infidelity. This shocking discovery forces Eve to question everything she thought she knew about her family and her place within it.

Eve seeks solace in her strong-willed older sister Cisely (Meagan Good) and their enigmatic Aunt Mozelle (Debbi Morgan), a local rumored to possess mystical powers. The film delves into the rich Creole culture of Louisiana, weaving elements of voodoo and folklore into the narrative.
