Warrior
Tommy Conlon (Hardy) is a former Marine who returns home to Pittsburgh after a traumatic experience in the war. He is estranged from his father, Paddy (Nick Nolte), a recovering alcoholic and former wrestler. Paddy is still angry at Tommy for leaving home when he was younger, but he is willing to help Tommy train for a mixed martial arts tournament called Sparta.
Tommy's brother Brendan (Edgerton) is a high school physics teacher and former MMA fighter. He is struggling to provide for his wife and two daughters, and he is hesitant to return to fighting. However, when he learns that the prize money for the Sparta tournament is $5 million, he decides to fight in order to secure his family's future.
Tommy and Brendan train separately, but they eventually come together to help each other prepare for the tournament. As they train, they also begin to heal their relationship.
The Sparta Tournament is a brutal and unforgiving competition. Tommy and Brendan both fight their way through the tournament, but they both suffer serious injuries. In the final round, Tommy and Brendan face each other. They fight to the bitter end, but in the end, Tommy is victorious.
After the tournament, Tommy and Brendan are finally reconciled. They realise that they need each other, and they are committed to rebuilding their relationship as brothers.
