The Mummy Returns
In 1933, Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) and Evelyn Carnahan (Rachel Weisz) are exploring a pyramid in the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes with their son, Alex. Within, they discover and collect the Bracelet of Anubis which sets off a trap causing Rick and Evelyn to narrowly escape the pyramid as it floods with water.
Ten years later, the bracelet locks onto Alex, showing him visions directing him to Ahm Shere. Evelyn is attacked and captured by a cult who resurrect Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo) with the Book of the Dead; they wish to use his power to defeat the Scorpion King, which would give them command of Anubis' army.
The cult, led by museum curator Baltus Hafez (John Hannah), includes enforcer Lock-Nah (Oded Fehr) and Meela Nais (Patricia Velasquez), the physical reincarnation of Imhotep's love Anck-su-namun.
Rick and Alex set out to rescue Evelyn with the help of her brother Jonathan (John Hannah), who had gotten his hands on a mysterious golden scepter, and the Medjai Ardeth Bay (Oded Fehr), who has returned to help them.
Meanwhile, Imhotep seeks to find the Scorpion King, a legendary warrior buried in the desert of Ahm Shere. He finds the Scorpion King's tomb and awakens him, promising him revenge against those who imprisoned him.
In a climactic confrontation, Rick and Evelyn face off against Imhotep and the Scorpion King, and they must use all of their wits and resources to defeat them.
