The Great Train Robbery
During Victorian times in England, the film follows Edward Pierce (Connery), a master thief who has never been caught. Pierce is planning his most ambitious heist yet: to rob a moving train. He assembles a team of experts, including Andrew Lang (Sutherland), a master safecracker, and Miriam Read (Down), a beautiful and seductive woman.
The group meticulously plans the robbery, studying the train's schedule and the layout of the surrounding countryside. They also practice their roles, ensuring that they can execute the heist with precision and speed.
On the night of the robbery, the group puts their plan into action. They board the train and make their way to the carriage containing the money. Lang cracks the safe, and the group makes off with a fortune.
The robbery is a success, but the group is soon on the run from the police. They are pursued by Inspector Fowler (Alan Bates), a determined detective who is determined to bring them to justice.
The group is eventually cornered and arrested. However, Pierce manages to escape and goes on the run once again.
