Mathayus (Zach McGowan), the legendary Scorpion King, seeks a quiet life after years of bloodshed and conquests. He settles down on a peaceful farm, content to leave his warrior days behind. However, this serenity is shattered when the tyrannical warlord Nebserek (Peter Mensah) rises to power, wielding the cursed Fang of Anubis, a sword fueled by the souls of its victims.

Needing the magical Book of Souls to destroy the Fang, Nebserek sets his sights on Mathayus' village. Tala (Pearl Thusi), a fierce Nubian warrior whose people also suffer under Nebserek's reign, seeks Mathayus' help. Seeing the innocent villagers threatened, Mathayus reluctantly agrees to join Tala on a quest to find the Book of Souls and stop Nebserek's reign of terror.

Their journey takes them through perilous landscapes and ancient tombs, facing mythical creatures and ruthless enemies guarding the secrets of the Book. They encounter a mischievous Golem (Brandon Auret), a cunning Black Arrow thief Uruk (Howard Charles), and even the resurrected spirit of King Memtep (Charles Malik Whitfield), the creator of the Fang.

While battling external threats, Mathayus grapples with his own troubled past and doubts about his warrior identity. Tala, harboring her own grief and secrets, struggles to trust Mathayus, despite their shared goal. Their growing bond challenges their initial perceptions and pushes them to confront their individual demons.

As they reach the legendary Valley of the 13th Moon, the final showdown with Nebserek and his corrupted warriors ensues. Mathayus must embrace his Scorpion King persona once more, wielding both his formidable skills and the power of the Book of Souls to overcome the darkness.
