Magnum P.I.
A reboot of the classic 1980s series, follows Thomas Magnum, a former Navy SEAL who lives in the guest house of Robin's Nest, a Hawaiian estate owned by the reclusive author Robin Masters. In exchange for free housing, Magnum works as Masters' security consultant and writes fictional novels about his time in the military under Masters' name.
Magnum's unconventional living arrangement gives him access to Masters' Ferrari and the guest house, but no salary. To make ends meet, Magnum works as a private investigator, often assisted by Juliet Higgins, the estate's majordomo and a former MI6 agent, and his friends Theodore "T.C." Calvin, a helicopter pilot, and Orville "Rick" Wright, a bar owner.
Despite both having serious relationships throughout the first four seasons, Magnum and Higgins share undeniable sexual tension, which is finally addressed in the season finale. Rick also finds himself in a committed relationship, and the divorced Katsumoto often faces challenges with his son. T.C. becomes a father figure to a homeless teenager in the fourth season.
The show shares a fictional universe with Hawaii Five-0, and the characters often collaborate with the Five-0 Task Force to solve crimes.
