Beautiful Creatures is a 2013 American romantic gothic fantasy film based on the young adult novel of the same name by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. The story follows Ethan Wate, a young man yearning to escape his sleepy southern town. His world takes a fantastical turn when he meets Lena Duchannes, a mysterious new girl shrouded in secrecy.
