Bruno (Aden Young) is a man who is still grieving the death of his wife, Lydia. He is evicted from the beach house that he and Lydia built together by his in-laws, who are eager to sell it.

Bruno decides to take revenge on his in-laws by getting a job as a repairman for the new owners of the house, a family headed by a successful businesswoman named Maria (Parker Posey).

Bruno quickly becomes indispensable to Maria and her family. He also starts to develop feelings for Maria. However, Bruno's plans for revenge are complicated by the fact that he starts to fall in love with the new owners of the house.

As Bruno gets closer to Maria and her family, he begins to question his own motives. He must decide whether to go through with his revenge or to start a new life with Maria.
