Escape Through Africa
Escape Through Africa is a historical adventure film set against the backdrop of World War I in East Africa. The story follows Anne (Linn Bjørnland), a British nurse stationed at a remote outpost. When the Germans launch a surprise attack, Anne's peaceful life is shattered. In the ensuing chaos, she manages to escape, becoming a target herself.
Thrusting into the unforgiving African wilderness, Anne finds herself thrown together with a ragtag group of survivors. Among them is her estranged uncle, Captain Lockwood (Eric Roberts), a seasoned soldier tasked with getting vital information to a neighbouring outpost. Together, they must navigate the treacherous terrain, evading German patrols and overcoming the harsh realities of the African landscape.
Anne's pacifist ideals clash with the brutal realities of war as she learns to survive with limited resources. However, she discovers a hidden strength within herself. Along the way, she encounters local warriors who offer them aid and protection, forging an unlikely bond.
